The German Defense Ministry is scrambling to qualify its stance on the Cruise World War II thriller VALKYRIE, saying that, despite reports to the contrary, it has no opposition to the film shooting in Germany. The controversy came about when a parliament member posted on her website last week, saying that the Defense Minister Frank-Josef Jung had vowed that Cruise would not be allowed to film due to his adherence to Scientology.
